Christmas 2010 PDF Print E-mail
Hi Everyone!

Christmas is coming up super soon and we are all gearing up to make sure that the children and teens at Orangewood Children's Home have a positive and memorable Christmas experience while staying at the Orangewood! To be honest, this is a horrible situation for them. Not only have these kids been abused and abandoned, but now they're living in an emergency shelter during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and God knows how much longer. They're away from their friends, family, relatives, and everything and everybody they know. If you'd like to donate to our Christmas event and cause, you can now do so through our website using PayPal. Cool, huh?! Visit our website at www.orangemission7.org and click on the PayPal link. ANY amount is totally cool and we appreciate everyone who supports us. If you want to send us a check, that's great also. You can make checks out to: Orangewood Ministry, 1063 Eliot Street, Oceanside, CA 92057. All donations are 100% tax-deductible. Thanks so much!!! Our DEADLINE to get all the presents for the Orangewood children is Friday, Dec. 4th, by midnight. That's only 20 days from now! Yikes!!!

Let's make this Christmas season a happy one for these kids and teens. Together we can do it! Thank you everyone and God bless.

Your friends,

Aloha Everyone,

How was your weekend? If you didn't get a chance to make it to Orangewood Children's Home this past Saturday we miss you and so did the expecting 93 kids, but once again HE is so great for all the volunteers who did show up ... THANK YOU in making all those kids smile, laugh and even dance the HULA with JOY!

I want to send out a special shout out of extra thanks to the Saddleback Hula Ministry for dancing to the Gospel and helping out with the activities.

I also want to thank all the new comers and to those who have been there before to make the whole Hawaiian theme event a big success. .. Without you, your gracious gifts and talents this event would never take place, so I hope to see you and everyone else at our next events.

If you want to further your experience in helping the kids to grow with encouragement please come to our MENTORING NIGHTS on the FIRST TUESDAY of every month starting at 6 pm to about 9:30 pm. This is another way to really make an impact on the kids by sharing life skills and experiences. Come and transform a child's life!

Here are a few updates of the results of your actions:
Amber a Christian teenager stuck in the foster care system frustrated and depressed has now changed to be a smiling 15 year old who has a glint of hope in her eye again.

Angel from the AB group cut his hair and donated it to kids who have cancer.

.... YOUR ACTIONS OF HOPE, LOVE & ENCOURAGEMENT are making a difference in these kids at Orangewood Children's Home.

Mahalo (thank you) everyone for your donations, your valuable time and for your awesome SERVING HEARTS! It is an honor and privilege to serve with all of you ...thank you Father God for these great people and for the opportunity.

Aloha in HIS LOVE & BLESSINGS,

Orangewood Team
